BSCES Recognizes Bill Konicki with Honorary Member Award

The Boston Society of Civil Engineers Section (BSCES) recently recognized SGH Consulting Principal Bill Konicki as an Honorary Member at the organization’s June 2025 Awards Dinner. This prestigious honor, awarded to only two individuals each year, recognizes a distinguished record of dedication and achievement in engineering.
Bill is a long-time member of BSCES whose technical expertise, leadership, and deep commitment to mentoring have had a profound and lasting impact on generations of engineers, including many at SGH and BSCES.
“Bill’s legacy is defined not only by the projects he has delivered but by the people he has developed,” said Aaron Lewis, SGH Senior Principal and Structural Engineering Region Head, East. “I personally joined SGH because of Bill’s reputation, and I know many others have been similarly inspired. Though Bill is among the humblest professionals I’ve had the privilege to work with, his impact on the field has been profound.”

Bill has more than forty years of experience in civil, structural, and foundation engineering. He has led the design of foundation systems for various structures, including industrial and commercial buildings, substations, process facilities, and significant infrastructure. His expertise also includes external and internal blast-resistant design for high-risk buildings, as well as drainage solutions for both natural and artificial turf athletic fields.
