Several members from Simpson Gumpertz & Heger’s (SGH) multidisciplinary engineering teams will participate in the American Society of Civil Engineers’ (ASCE) 11th Forensic Engineering Congress. The conference convenes forensic engineering professionals from across the built environment to exchange information on understanding failures. The congress will take place in Lake Buena Vista, FL, from 22 – 25 October 2026.

SGH alumnus and former Chief Executive Officer Glenn Bell, now with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), will join Dr. Judith Mitrani-Reiser, Senior Research Scientist at NIST, for Friday’s plenary session, “NIST’s Technical Findings of their NCST Investigation of Champlain Towers South.” Glenn will also deliver Sunday’s closing plenary session on Spaceship Earth.
