SGH Participates in Preparation of New ACI Code for Evaluation, Repair, and Rehabilitation of Concrete Buildings

December 30, 2012

The American Concrete Institute (ACI) Committee 562 recently completed the document “Code Requirements for Evaluation, Repair, and Rehabilitation of Concrete Buildings.” Greggrey Cohen and Gustavo Tumialan were members of the committee that prepared the code. Members of the committee include engineers, manufacturers, and university professors working in rehabilitation of concrete structures.

The ACI 562 code is the result of six years of work of the committee and it will be published in 2013. The publication of this code meets a goal set by the concrete repair protection and strengthening industry eight years ago to create a code to establish the most critical elements in evaluation, design, materials, and practices needed to raise the level of performance of concrete repair and protection systems.
