Academy of Geo-Professionals Names Zachary Boswell a Board-Certified Geotechnical Engineer
Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) Senior Consulting Engineer Zachary Boswell has earned the Board-Certified Geotechnical Engineer (BC.GE) designation from the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Academy of Geo-Professionals and Civil Engineering Certification Inc. (CEC). BC.GE is awarded to professionals who demonstrate specialized expertise over more than a decade of work, strong professional ethics, and a commitment to lifelong learning and continuing professional development. This achievement represents Zack’s commitment to advancing the profession, staying current with the latest technical developments, and working with clients to solve their geotechnical challenges alongside his SGH colleagues.
Zack has extensive experience in subsurface explorations, shallow and deep foundation systems, site characterization, temporary and permanent support of excavation systems, retaining walls, turf fields, groundwater leakage mitigation, soft ground engineering, ground improvement, and forensic investigations for a wide range of infrastructure and development projects. He engages with the geotechnical engineering community and contributes to advancing the profession through his involvement with the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Boston Society of Civil Engineers Section, and the Deep Foundations Institute. He is an active problem solver and collaborator, committed to finding the right solutions and providing his expertise to clients and colleagues to overcome complex geotechnical engineering challenges.
