SGH Experts Present at the 15th Canadian Masonry Symposium

Several Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) team members recently participated in the 15th Canadian Masonry Symposium (CMS) from 2 to 5 June 2025 in Ottawa, Canada. The event, hosted by the Canadian Masonry Contractors Association (CMCA) and the Canada Masonry Design Centre (CMDC), brought together international masonry experts to advance the science, engineering, and application of masonry, fostering knowledge exchange and collaboration between academia and industry. The inspiring venue for the masonry symposium was the Fairmont Château Laurier hotel, a massive, beautifully constructed limestone building that is a national historic site of Canada.

Several SGH team members authored and presented papers in the proceedings. SGH Senior Principal Peter Babaian also contributed to the CMS technical committee and presented on upcoming events for The Masonry Society (TMS), for which he serves as president-elect.
