Adaptive Reuse and Repositioning Insights for the Built Environment

California needs adaptive reuse and repositioning projects to meet urgent housing needs, revitalize communities, and make better use of its existing building stock—but these projects come with complex technical, regulatory, and financial challenges.

“California Reimagined” is a five-part webinar series bringing together engineers, architects, developers, and other AEC experts to explore what it takes to successfully transform buildings for new uses. Through practical discussions and real-world case studies, the series will highlight the fundamentals of early feasibility, navigating historic structures, converting offices to housing, adapting contemporary buildings, and repurposing underutilized spaces with new amenities. Attendees will gain actionable insights into code considerations, design strategies, and evolving California policies that shape adaptive reuse today—all while learning how creative, multidisciplinary approaches can make these projects viable and impactful.

Attendees can earn up to 7.5 AIA CES Learning Units for attending all sessions. All sessions are free. Space is limited.
