Mike Mudlock

Mike Mudlock is a member of Simpson Gumpertz & Heger’s Engineering Mechanics and Infrastructure group. He has investigated, analyzed, and designed various types of structures, including serving as a project manager for many nuclear design and investigation projects. His work has included structural design; evaluation of structures affected by alkali-silica reactivity; seismic soil-structure interaction analysis; onsite engineering support of new high-hazard concrete and steel structures; and evaluation and upgrade of reinforced concrete, concrete masonry, structural steel, and pre-engineered metal building structures, systems, and components. He actively serves on American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and Structural Engineering Institute (SEI) committees related to mitigation of disproportionate collapse, and on an American Nuclear Society (ANS) working group related to life extension of non-reactor nuclear facilities.
