Dr. Andrew Sarawit received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Chiang Mai University, Thailand, and both his M.Eng. and Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from Cornell University. In 2003, he joined SGH, where he specializes in designing and analyzing precision structures. Some of his more notable projects include performing structural analyses of Radar and Radome for National Missile Defense X-Band Radar, design and analysis the Haystack radio telescope, and analysis of World Trade Center Towers as part of the collapse investigation. He is on the SPIE conference committee for Advances in Optical and Mechanical Technologies for Telescopes and Instrumentation, and on the AISI Cold-Formed Steel main Committee on Specifications.
