My colleague, Brienna Rust, and I contributed to research released by FXFOWLE into how New York City buildings can meet energy efficient Passivhaus standards. In the report, we explored the impact of adapting a building designed to meet LEED certification to one that meets Passivhaus, and found that the standard is viable in the city and region.

If you want to learn more, I’ll be on an expert panel at the American Institute of Architects Conference on Architecture on 29 April. We’ll discuss the results of the study and what comes next for the city. Stop by and say hi.
