Blast
SGH provides a full range of services related to the design, investigation, and mitigation of blast-related hazards. For blast-resistant design and assessment studies, SGH establishes the criteria for evaluation, design models and testing programs, and performs computer analyses, including: creating blast loading models; developing response spectra for motion at different locations within a structure; conducting reliability analyses of equipment; evaluating the effects of dust and debris; and designing radiation shielding for hardened nuclear-blast resistant facilities. We fully understand federal security design guidelines and possess the latest versions of approved software for evaluating blast risk. Our capabilities include evaluation and design of glazing systems, calculation of blast pressures from specified threats, and evaluation of structures for progressive collapse.
