Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Celebrates Ten Years Volunteering with ACE of Greater Boston Mentorship Program
Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH®) recently celebrated ten years of partnering with the ACE Mentor Program of America (ACE), having served as a mentor firm since the inception of its Greater Boston chapter. ACE – which stands for architecture, construction, and engineering – offers an after-school program for high school students interested in these disciplines. Teams of students work with volunteer mentors from across the industry to complete a hypothetical building project and take part in visits to local project sites, workplaces, and universities.
Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) is proud to present the fourth-annual Buchberg Scholar Award to Arjun Bir, a civil engineering junior at the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). Arjun was the runner-up for the scholarship in 2016 and spent his summer with SGH as a technical intern in the firm’s Building Technology group.
At Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, we encourage each other to be socially minded practitioners every day by giving back to our industry and communities. We strive to create an inspiring work environment where the best staff in the industry collaborate to do the best work in the world - not only for our clients and the built environment, but also for our neighbors and neighborhoods.
