WHAT: The 26th RCI International Convention and Trade Show provides educational programs, industry-supplier and manufacturer updates, networking opportunities, and social events for building envelope consultants.
In their talk on "The Green Roof: Common Sense Advice on Durability," Daniel and Jeffrey will review waterproofing design and construction advice for vegetative roofing assemblies; identify design considerations for the roof deck, waterproofing membrane, membrane-level drainage, insulation, and surface drainage; and draw on their experience in investigating failed vegetative roof waterproofing installations. They will examine common design and construction pitfalls that can cause premature failure of green roof systems and detail strategies to avoid them.
