WHAT:  The Glass & Glazing in the 21st Century: Design and Preservation of Contemporary & Historic Architecture conference will explore the use, performance, maintenance, and preservation/restoration of glass in new and existing buildings and monuments.

Topic sessions for the above presenters include:

  • Saturday, March 20: Schwartz will speak from 11:15 to 11:30 a.m. on "Insulating Glass (IG) Unit Performance" and from 11:30 to 11:45 a.m. on "The Truth about the John Hancock Glass Failure and Lessons Learned."
  • Sunday, March 21: Davies will speak from 3:50 to 4:10 p.m. on "Innovative Projects-II- Baha'i House of Worship for South America & Other Case Histories."
  • Sunday, March 21: Fidler will speak from 4:30 to 4:55 p.m. on "How will New Materials and New Manufacturing Techniques Affect/Impact Design and Conservation Work."
