Abstract: The construction project of Macallen building condominium in Boston is marked by extensive coordination of design and construction team is discussed. The building is conceived by Boston-based Pappas Enterprises and consists of luxury condominium units, large parkings, private pools, landscape terrace, and sloping garden roofs. The project ideas regarding potential structural systems are reviewed based on cost of construction, ceiling heights, speed of construction, historical materials, and required building foundation. The staggered steel truss system provides a column-free interior of the building and resists lateral loads parallel to the longitudinal axis of the truss. The building condominium project provides unique design and conditions for residential projects through architectural and environmental strategies.
