Construction Techniques for Architectural Concrete

Amy L. Hackney and James A. McDonald published the second part of their two-part article in the April 2015 issue of Concrete Construction. The article is titled, “Construction Techniques for Architectural Concrete,” and discusses the placement of architectural concrete in the field, and why it is critical to success. The article focuses on how to incorporate structural and waterproofing enhancements into the design, and construction methods to improve the performance of architectural concrete from the start, which will decrease the likelihood of water intrusion later. Part 1 of this article was published in the March issue of Concrete Construction.
