Abstract: Closed-cell sprayed polyurethane foam (SPF) insulation has been used in buildings for nearly 60 years. Until about a decade ago, it was primarily for roofing - where it is accessible, exposed, and routinely inspected and repaired. Given its successful track record, sprayfoam is now being used in new applications. In a few of these, some foam products may be unreliable.
