Sean is the head of the Building Technology group in SGH’s New York office. He specializes in building science and building enclosure performance, including computer simulation of heat/air/moisture migration and energy efficiency issues. Sean has investigated and designed repairs for a wide variety of building types and has published papers on topics including mechanical system impacts on building enclosure performance and condensation resistance of windows and curtain walls. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mechanical engineering from Cornell University and is a licensed professional engineer in sixteen states. He is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and co-chair of the New York City Building Enclosure Council.
