Mr. Moser specializes in investigating and designing plaza waterproofing and paving systems, below-grade waterproofing, and roofing systems. His projects have also included analyzing building moisture problems and leakage problems as well as evaluating and designing repairs to masonry facades and window systems. He contributes to ASTM standards development in several committees including D08 on Roofing and Waterproofing, where he serves as a subcommittee secretary and technical contact for various task groups. His research interests include quantifying the effects of moisture on physical properties of roofing materials; and design and performance of pavement and waterproofing on bridge decks and similar structures. Mr. Moser is also a subject-matter expert in mitigation of ice dams on steep sloped roofs; slate roofing; environmental life cycle assessment; TPO roofing; and wind uplift resistance of low-sloped roofing systems.
