Jeff Langlois is a member of Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc.’s (SGH’s) Structural Engineering group. He has over 14 yrs of experience managing projects involving design, investigation and rehabilitation of structures of all types with a focus on light-frame wood and heavy timber construction. His specialty skills include design of buildings employing engineered wood components, structural evaluation of existing wood structures, in situ visual grading and determination of design properties for existing heavy timber components, and investigation of dimensionally distressed or discolored architectural millwork. He oversees design of construction documents and provides construction phase services for projects ranging from small adaptive reuse fit-outs, to multi-story new construction. Jeff’s approach to consulting is client and team focused from the initial scope and budgetary development phase through completion of construction to ensure that the design and work performed meets the expectations and project objectives of the owner.
