Kevin LaMalva Awarded Distinction of 2017 ENR Newsmaker for His Pioneering Work in Structural Fire Engineering

Engineering News-Record (ENR) has named Simpson Gumpertz & Heger’s (SGH’s) Kevin LaMalva to its latest class of ENR Newsmakers, recognizing him for advancing the practice of performance-based structural fire engineering (PBSFE).

Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Acquires Keast & Hood's Washington, DC, Office; Names Matthew Daw Senior Principal

Simpson Gumpertz & Heger announced the acquisition of structural engineering firm Keast & Hood’s Washington, DC, office. Matthew Daw, P.E., LEED AP, and seventeen other staff members will join SGH on 1 February 2018.

Werner Gumpertz, co-founder of Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH), died on Friday, 1 December 2017. Gumpertz, with Howard Simpson and Frank Heger, established SGH in 1956.
